We spent four nights on the Ventus Australis from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas. The beauty was unforeseeable: Cape Horn, Glaciers, Penguins, and the calm (sometimes rocky) waters.
Ushuaia is considered the most southern city in the world - well deserving of its nickname as “The End of the World”. Our original intention was to drop in to solely catch our cruise to Chile, but life happened and we ended up staying here for 4 nights. It is the best place we have been to in the last 6 months.
Puerto Piramides is the Patagonia “Truman Show” island. A population of ~700 people, everyone knows everyone. A truly gorgeous place to visit for not just whale watching, but to enjoy the simple life.
After two weeks of exploring vineyards in Salta (Cafayate & Molinos) and Mendoza (Uco Valley and Maipú), here are our top recommendations. Try to find one at a local online store near you, or better yet - fly to Argentina and visit the vineyard yourself.
