They Photo ... Santiago in Protest
Santiago protests began on 24 October 2019. Our trip to Santiago had just been extended after being concerned that Quito was under martial law with a 3PM curfew. The situation in Quito resolved quickly, but Santiago’s protests have continued. It has been an interesting opportunity to see how the protests have affected this city. The photos below show some of the building destruction and the graffiti representing the anger of the protestors towards the government.
We also saw some beautiful street art that has yet to be disrupted - we hope it remains that way. See those photos here.
